The MIDI Controller
The MIDI controller is a MIDIBox MIDI controller build on top Thorsten Klose’s MIDIbox platform. It currently enlists 32 rotary encoders with push button built in. Each encoder has 32 RGB LEDs formed into a 360 degree indicator ring. I have plans to add motorised faders to make a fully fledged 8 channel studio mixer with recall functionality for each mixer lane.
The controller uses the MIDIbox MIOS firmware flashed onto an STM32 microcontroller. Each rotary encoder uses the digital input channels while the LEDs use the digital output channels.
